I had an extremely upsetting experience at this hospital and would not recommend it to anyone. I went in around 1:15 AM after being in severe pain for hours. I had nonstop diarrhea (completely watery), intense cramping that felt similar to contractions, and nausea so bad I felt like I was going to throw up. The pain was unbearable and eventually got so bad that I felt I had no choice but to go to the hospital. After checking in and having my vitals taken, I was asked to provide a stool sample, which I did. After that, I was left waiting for over an hour with no updates. During that time, I was crying and screaming in pain, and no one came to check on me. My younger sister was with me and had to witness the entire situation. I eventually went to the front desk myself to ask for help because I couldn’t take it anymore. I was told someone would come shortly, but another 30 minutes passed. When someone finally came in, they told me there was a critical patient and asked what I wanted them to do. I explained again that I was in severe pain and needed help, but nothing happened for another hour. At that point, I was going back and forth to the bathroom repeatedly and was close to leaving to go to another hospital. When another staff member finally came in, she asked what was going on and offered me “a pain shot” without explaining what it was. When I asked for clarification, I was met with attitude. After another 30-minute wait, I received the shot and some nausea medication, but still no real explanation of what was wrong with me. They tested me for the flu (which was negative), then sent me home and told me to “let it run its course.” I left still in pain, confused, and without answers, and had to wait for my mother to come pick me up because I wasn’t even able to drive myself. To make matters worse, when I reviewed my chart later, the notes claimed I “began to sob hysterically after waiting a short period” and implied that I exaggerated my pain when staff were present. This is completely false and incredibly dismissive. I waited for hours in severe pain and felt ignored the entire time. This experience was not only physically painful but also emotionally distressing. I felt dismissed, disrespected, and not taken seriously when I needed help the most. I would strongly caution others before
Had a really bad painful UTI that progressed rapidly overnight and live in Amity so the drive was a good 25 minutes with no log trucks to slow me down. The lady in the ER was so friendly and kind and got me into an exam room fast. Nurse ended up giving me a shot of antibiotics and sent me home. Thank you for accepting my VA insurance because it's becoming alarmingly difficult to find a medical facility that takes Tri Care or Healthcare anymore. Makes being in pain go to an entire new level. And living in a rural area you need help fast and driving to Little Rock just wasn't an option.
Dr. Warford was super nice and professional, an example of what every ER doc should be. Dr Phillips on the other hand, is rude, arrogant, dismissive, and downright dangerous. He was incredibly rude to the patient across the hall from me, passively aggressively asking why she was at the ER at 4 am (she couldn’t breathe!!!) and said he was going to discharge her after one set of vitals and not even touching her with a stethoscope. These patients are fragile and cannot be dismissed so easily. I was also rudely dismissed despite having very low potassium and a heart rate in the 130s. Please get rid of Phillips, he is going to kill someone with his dismissive terrible attitude. The nurse even agreed that he’s rude. Patient advocates do absolutely nothing.
My girlfriend is 36 weeks pregnant and 3 cm dilated and yall didn't want her to leave but yet here we are being told to go to hotspital and see ur actual doctor so what's the point of having this so called hospital out here are they just out here to make casts for broken bones? That seems to be all there good for if u ask me never once have we been told anything except ur fine and to go home or to go see my regular doctor.... like gee thanks next time I'll just start with that we will not be visiting that hospital anymore!
Great Experience! Came to ER and I was checked in at desk and within 3 minutes a nurse had me in a bed checking my vitals & asking me about my concerns. Doc was in 10 mins later and ordered tests and results were back in a timely turnaround. Staff was very pleasant and reassuring and Doc was kind and Knowledgeable. Was pleasantly surprised they are connected with MYChart.
