My first experience with Sun Life was a very positive one. I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door. The waiting room was clean with plenty of seating. I got in for my walk in visit quickly. The nurse and PA were very professional and friendly. My concerns were addressed. This is now, "my clinic." Thank you Sun Life.
I had to wait 2 hours just to pee in a cup. Because I was told that I didn’t need an appointment just for labs. I was also not told I needed a physical copy of the lab order. I faxed the order from my phone to the fax machine in the office but I couldn’t forward the order via email so it could be printed out. I could understand if it was an order from some random Dr. but this order was from a Dr I was referred to by Sunlife. Now I learn that starting June 1 you won’t even except lab orders from anywhere but Sunlife Drs. That might be ok for Casa Grande, Florence or anywhere else that has lab facilities in the area. But Coolidge doesn’t have anything within 20 miles. I use an electric wheelchair as my only transportation at 5 mph it would take 4-5 hours one way to get to a lab facility. That was one of the craziest moves Sunlife has made.
My husband attends sun life and he was telling them what was wrong and what he experiences and they just brush him off. They even told him he needed to calm down. His BP is constantly in the hypertensive state and they witnessed that 3x and said he was fine that its "probably anxiety" but absolutely not. It was 177/124 in their office and didnt change much the other times the checked. Not feeling too sure about if they actually care. The sent us home with a BP cup to check his BP over the next few weeks with the medication subscribed and it didnt even work, nor did they teach us how to use it.
I had a great experience with this place. The physician that attended me was so very kind. That’s something that I remember about this place the kindness of the physician and helping me understand what the issues are and getting me help right away.
The waiting area is always clean and the receptionist and front ends are very nice and easy to work with to get ready for your appointment.
